2020· Management of Environmental Quality An International Journal184doi:10.1108/meq-12-2019-0264

Purpose This study aims to investigate the effect of prosocial values on pro-environmental behaviours via attitudes in which environmental knowledge and proself values moderate the relationship. This study also examines the application of the Theory of Planned Behaviour and Cognitive Dissonance. Design/methodology/approach This study employed a quantitative method to examine potential positive or negative moderating effects of environmental knowledge and proself values on environmental attitudes and behaviour. Participants were undergraduate students recruited from a state university in the eastern part of Indonesia. The online survey link was randomly sent to 500 students in 14 different Faculties with a response rate of 57% (285) participants (80% female). Data were analysed using a moderated-mediation regression technique. Findings The results suggested that only biospheric value positively affected pro-environmental behaviours. Environmental knowledge negatively moderated the relationship between prosocial values and environmental attitudes. Similarly, high egoistic value potentially reduced the effect of environmental attitude on pro-environmental behaviours. Environmental knowledge could impede the positive impacts of prosocial values while egoistic value negates the effect of attitude on pro-environmental attitude. Research limitations/implications Although the findings supported most hypotheses, this study did not control the effect of some demographic variables such as education and social-economic status. Participants tended to share some similar characteristics, which potentially influenced the results. Originality/value This study challenged some common antecedents of pro-environmental behaviours and offered some alternative explanations. This study has offered a new insight in understanding unique interactions among values, knowledge and attitude.

The development of education or teaching is inseparable and the responsibility of an educator, how the educator is transforming the knowledge possessed by the existing teaching materials, and by paying attention to the method of teaching that is easily accepted by the learners so that the goal is achieved in accordance with what is expected. Objectives to be achieved then the educator must malakukan an activity called the evaluation of education. Evaluation is part and process of learning which in whole can not be separated from teaching activity, conducting evaluation which is done in education activity has a very main meaning, because evaluation is a measuring tool or process to know level of achievement that have been achieved by student of material or material has been submitted, so that with the evaluation of the objectives of the learning will be seen accurately and convincingly. Evaluation as part of a learning program needs to be optimized, as it not only relies on assessments of learning outcomes, but also needs assessment of inputs, processes, and outputs. One of the important factors for the effectiveness of learning is the evaluation factor both on the learning process and on the learning outcomes. Evaluation is a systematic collection activity of the learning process to determine whether changes occur to students and to what extent these changes affect the life of the students.

Metropolitan Urban Mamminasata South Sulawesi, Indonesia as the object of study is explored in the core-peripheral spatial interaction towards the formation of suburban service centers. The problems raised in this study are (i) is there a relationship/correlation between spatial integration, spatial interaction, and urban agglomeration to the formation of urban activity systems and (ii) how the formation of urban activity systems works as a determinant of economic growth, land use change and environmental quality degradation towards sustainable development in the metropolitan city of Mamminasata. Comparative studies of suburban areas have been carried out over three time periods (2001, 2015 and 2019). Data elaboration on observations, surveys and documentation is done to describe urban dynamics in terms of economic, social and environmental aspects. Path analysis is used to address direct effects, indirect effects, differences, and dependencies between urban elements. The gravity model is used to analyze the spatial interactions of the core city with the periphery. The study results show that spatial integration, spatial interaction and urban agglomeration have a positive effect on the system of urban activity and economic growth in the outskirts of the Mamminasata Metropolitan area. The results of this study recommend policy makers and urban planners that land use change, spatial integration and urban spatial interactions on the spatial scale of metropolitan cities to require the implementation of sustainable development concepts oriented towards saving the environment, ensuring fairness in economic access and creating social cohesion, in line with meeting national Metropolitan city development targets by 2030.

2015· PLoS ONE79doi:10.1371/journal.pone.0140385

The purpose of the study was to investigate the correlation between Corneal Visualization Scheimpflug Technology (Corvis ST tonometry: CST) parameters and various other ocular parameters, including intraocular pressure (IOP) with Goldmann applanation tonometry. IOP with Goldmann applanation tonometry (IOP-G), central corneal thickness (CCT), axial length (AL), corneal curvature, and CST parameters were measured in 94 eyes of 94 normal subjects. The relationship between ten CST parameters against age, gender, IOP-G, AL, CST-determined CCT and average corneal curvature was investigated using linear modeling. In addition, the relationship between IOP-G versus CST-determined CCT, AL, and other CST parameters was also investigated using linear modeling. Linear modeling showed that the CST measurement 'A time-1' is dependent on IOP-G, age, AL, and average corneal curvature; 'A length-1' depends on age and average corneal curvature; 'A velocity-1' depends on IOP-G and AL; 'A time-2' depends on IOP-G, age, and AL; 'A length-2' depends on CCT; 'A velocity-2' depends on IOP-G, age, AL, CCT, and average corneal curvature; 'peak distance' depends on gender; 'maximum deformation amplitude' depends on IOP-G, age, and AL. In the optimal model for IOP-G, A time-1, A velocity-1, and highest concavity curvature, but not CCT, were selected as the most important explanatory variables. In conclusion, many CST parameters were not significantly related to CCT, but IOP usually was a significant predictor, suggesting that an adjustment should be made to improve their usefulness for clinical investigations. It was also suggested CST parameters were more influential for IOP-G than CCT and average corneal curvature.

Law Number 20 Year 2003 on National Education System, Law Number 14 Year 2005 regarding Teachers and Lecturers, and Government Regulation Number 19 Year 2005 on National Education Standard states teachers are professional educators. Teachers as professionals have an important role in learning. The role of teachers in learning is to make learning design, organizing teaching and learning activities, teaching or learning. Efforts have been made to improve the quality of national education, such as the development of national and local curricula, improving teacher competence through training, procurement of books and instructional tools, teacher certification, procurement and improvement of educational facilities and infrastructure, and improving school management. But apparently all these efforts have not shown maximum results. Proven when people are still talking about less qualified graduates, even in terms of morals learners tanpak increasingly degenerate, honesty is very lacking, no manners, less discipline, less responsibility, shyness is very lacking, misconduct everywhere, and so on. In order to achieve the targeted goals in improving the quality of education, this is where the importance of teachers improve the quality of their performance in learning as a figure that plays an important role in advancing the world of education. To have a good performance teachers are required to have adequate academic ability, and can apply the knowledge they have to learners to advance the quality of learning learners.

Implementation curriculum is a very decisive component in an educational system, therefore the curriculum is a tool to achieve the education system, therefore the curriculum is a tool to achieve the goals of education and as well as a guide in the implementation of teaching on all types and levels of education, the curriculum is part of a learning process allows learners to know (learning to know), learn to do something (learning to do) to learn to learn and learn to live together (learning to live together). Thus the learning outcomes realize students who are able to membelajarkan on himself, get some knowledge, learners are able to develop in a wider form and can be applied in everyday life.
