11.MCP Server & API Data Handling
When you use the NobleBlocks MCP (Model Context Protocol) server or API:
- Search queries are sent to NobleBlocks servers over encrypted HTTPS connections
- API keys are used for authentication and rate limiting, transmitted as Bearer tokens over TLS and never logged in plaintext
- Audit logging — The MCP server logs tool call metadata locally on your machine for debugging. No query content is transmitted to third parties
- Results contain publicly available academic paper metadata (titles, abstracts, authors, citation counts)
- No personal data from MCP requests is stored beyond standard web server access logs (retained for 30 days)
