Research is a mandatory task for bachelor, master, doctoral degrees, in completing lectures at various universities in Indonesia. Several approaches in research methods are used by researchers who focus on qualitative research. Each study program has a different perspective on technical research concepts, as well as different methods with different objectives. Researchers characterized by naturalistic characteristics with a subjective perspective become a way to conduct research in the natural realm. Many quantitative researchers are considered unscientific, but by strengthening field data and observations to the point of saturation, qualitative research is valuable and also meaningful. In this study, the case study approach, phenomenology and ethnography will be elaborated in a research context that is relevant to the phenomena that occur today in real life.

species complex (FOSC). Selected isolates from each lineage were tested on the banana varieties Gros Michel and Cavendish to characterise their pathogenicity profiles. More than 65 % of the isolates were diagnosed as Tropical Race 4 (Foc-TR4) due to their pathogenicity to Cavendish banana, which supports the hypothesis that Foc-TR4 is of Indonesian origin. Nine independent genetic lineages for Foc are formally described in this study. This biodiversity has not been studied since the initial description of Foc in 1919. This study provides a detailed overview of the complexity of Fusarium wilt on banana and its diversity and distribution across Indonesia.

2020· Science & Education309doi:10.1007/s11191-019-00100-x

Abstract Indigenous knowledge provides specific views of the world held by various indigenous peoples. It offers different views on nature and science that generally differ from traditional Western science. Futhermore, it introduces different perspectives on nature and the human in nature. Coming basically from a Western perspective on nature and science, the paper analyzes the literature in science education focusing on research and practices of integrating indigenous knowledge with science education. The paper suggests Didaktik models and frameworks for how to elaborate on and design science education for sustainability that takes indigenous knowledge and related non-Western and alternative Western ideas into consideration. To do so, indigenous knowledge is contextualized with regards to related terms (e.g., ethnoscience), and with Eastern perspectives (e.g., Buddhism), and alternative Western thinking (e.g., post-human Bildung ). This critical review provides justification for a stronger reflection about how to include views, aspects, and practices from indigenous communities into science teaching and learning. It also suggests that indigenous knowledge offers rich and authentic contexts for science learning. At the same time, it provides chances to reflect views on nature and science in contemporary (Western) science education for contributing to the development of more balanced and holistic worldviews, intercultural understanding, and sustainability.

The research used a qualitative approach by utilizing descriptive analysis methods. Then the data collection technique used literature studies. The findings found that, first, negative narratives and the slow response of the government. Before COVID-19 approached Indonesia, narratives delivered by the elite government showed that there was no sense of crisis so that it slow-down decision making. Second, weak coordination, especially between the central government and regional governments. This asynchronous coordination created uncertain handling for the control of Coronavirus. Third, citizen ignorance or disobey government instruction. The impact is, the handling effort has stalled because it is not supported by the wider community. The combination of these three factors complicates the government's efforts to control the outbreak of COVID-19 in Indonesia. Keywords: Indonesia, COVID-19, Coronavirus, Handling, Policy Abstrak Artikel ini mendiskusikan mengenai upaya Pemerintah Indonesia dalam menangani kasus penyebaran virus korona (Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19).

Bruner argues (in Slameto,2010:11) , it would be nice if the school could provide opportunities for students to progress quickly according to students' abilities in certain subjects. To improve the learning process needs an environment called discovery learning environment. Thus learning media have roles and functions that greatly influence teaching and learning. The instructor of the learning media itself is a teaching aid that also influen ces the climate, conditions and learning environment that is organized and created by the teacher. Hamalik (1986) suggests that the use of instructional media in the learning process can generate new desires and interests, generate motivation and stimulation of learning, and even bring psychological effects to students. In the teaching and learning process, the teacher has the duty to encourage, guide, and provide learning facilities for students to achieve goals. The role of the media is very important to assist teachers in achieving these goals. Especially in cognitive students, because learning is influenced by the frequency of encounters with stimuli or the provision of the same or similar stimulus and response made in the form of learning media. The purpose of this paper provides an understanding of the importance of the role of learning media in the development of students' stimulus abilities in cognitive thinking. So the role of the teacher is needed in the development of appropriate learning media. Keyword : learning, learning media,  cognitive thinking
